Question & Answer section

Q 1) The number of students(both male and female ) who are learning freestyle in school C and D together is what percent less than the number of students(both male and female ) who are learning the same in schools A and B together ?

solution :
students learning free style in school C = 30 % of 150 = 45 (10 % of 150 = 15 then 30 % = 45)
students learning free style in school D = 24 % of 300 = 72 (300 % of 24 i.e x % y = y % x)
C+D = 45 + 72 = 117
students learning free style in school A = 25 % of 200 = 50 (ONEFOURTH OF 200 )
students learning free style in school B = 28 % of 400 = 112 (400 % of 28 i.e x % y = y % x)
A+B = 50 + 112 = 162
Finally ( (162-117) / 162 ) * 100 = 45 / 162 * 100 =(10 % 162 =16.2 ; 5 % 162 = 8.1) = 20 % 162 + 5 % 162 = 32.4 + 8.1 = 40.5 = Remaining = 4.5 (which is approximately 3 % 162) =
Answer = 28 % approximately

Q 2) What is the average number of students learning dance form(other than freestyle) in school B, C, D ?

solution :
Take 28 % 400 + 30 % 150 + 24 % 300 = 400 % 28 + 45 + 300 % 24 = 112 + 45 + 72 = 229
(400+150+300) - 229 = 850 -229 = 621
Finally, Average = 621 /3 = 207

Q 3)Out of the number of students(both male and female) learning freestyle in school B , 5/8 are 15 years or above.If out of the total students who are 15 years or above ,30 % are fenakes ,what is the number of female students learning freestyle who are below 15 years ?

solution :
Don't worry by looking length of question.it is simple .
Total number of students learning freestyle from school B = 28 % 400 =400 % 28 = 112
Total number of females from school B = (9/16)*112 = 63
15 years or above students of school B = (5/8)*112 = 70 ; female students 15 years or above = 30 % 70 = 21
Remaining females from school B (below 15 years) = 63 - 21 = 42

Q 4) What is the respective ratio between the total number of male students learning freestyle in schools A and C together and the total number of female students learning the same in the same schools together ?

solution :
Total number of students from school A = 25 % 200 = 50
males = ( 2/5 ) * 50 = 20 ; Remaining (females) = 30
Total number of students from school C = 30 % 150 = 45
males = ( 2/9 ) * 45 = 10 ; Remaining (females) = 35
males (A+C) / females (A+C) = 20 + 10 / 30 + 35 =30/65 = 6:13

Q 5) What is the difference between the number of male students studying freestyle in school B and D together and the total number of female students studying the same in same school together ?

solution : Total number of students from school B = 28 % 400 = 112
males = ( 7/16 ) * 112 = 49 ; Remaining (females) = 63 differece = 49 - 63 = -14
Total number of students from school D = 24 % 300 = 72
males = ( 9/12 ) * 72 = 54 ; Remaining (females) = 18 Difference = 54-18 = 36
Finally total difference = -14 +36 =22
