The 89th Oscar Academy Awards Winners list

The 89th Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to honor the best films of 2016, held at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, California. During the ceremony, AMPAS presented Academy Awards (commonly referred to as Oscars) in 24 categories. The ceremony, televised in the United States by ABC, produced by Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd and directed by Glenn Weiss. Comedian Jimmy Kimmel hosted the ceremony for the first time.

3. Best Original Screenplay - Kenneth Lonergan for 'Manchester By The Sea'

5. Best Music Original Score - Justin Hurwitz for 'La La Land'
6. Best Cinematography - Linus Sandgren for 'La La Land'
7. Best Live Action Short - 'Sing' by Kristof Deak and Anna Udvardy
8. Best Documentary Short - 'The White Helmets' by Orlando Von Einsiedel and Joanna Natasegara
9. Best Film Editing - John Gilbert for 'Hacksaw Ridge'
10. Best Visual Effects - Robert Legato, Adam Valdez, Andrew R Jones and Dan Lemmon for 'The Jungle Book'
11. Best Production Design - David Wasco and Sandy Reynolds-Wasco for 'La La Land'
12. Best Animated Feature - 'Zootopia' by Byron Howard, Rich Moore and Clark Spencer
13. Best Animated Short - 'Piper' by Alan Barillaro and Marc Sondheimer
14. Best Foreign Language Film - 'The Salesman' by Asghar Farhadi
15. Best Actress in a Supporting Role - Viola Davis for 'Fences'
16. Best Sound Mixing - Kevin O'Connell, Andy Wright, Robert Mackenzie and Peter Grace for 'Hacksaw Ridge'
17. Best Sound Editing - Sylvian Bellemare for 'Arrival'
18. Best Documentary Feature - Ezra Edelman and Caroline Waterlow for 'O J: Made In America'

20. Best Actress in a Leading Role - Emma Stone for 'La La Land'
