1	RBI to conduct field trials of plastic notes of Rs 10 in 5 cities .	The cities selected at the time of approval were Kochi, Mysore, Jaipur, Shimla and Bhubaneswar.
2	India, Russia sign long-term support pact on Sukhoi Su-30MKI	India and Russia have signed two long-term support agreements for the Sukhoi Su-30MKI combat aircraft fleet, which is the mainstay of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
3	Kerala’s first private sector bank , ESAF Small Finance Bank launched	ESAF (Evangelical Social Action Forum) Small Finance Bank, Kerala’s first private sector bank since the country’s Independence, in Thrissur, Kerala.
4	Ashwin Sundar and his wife Niveditha died in a mishap at MRC Nagar, Chennai.	The car in which the two were traveling caught fire after it hit a roadside tree. Sundar had won the national title in car racing and two-wheeler events on several occasions and his wife was a doctor in a private hospital in Chennai.
5	3 day International Buddhist conference begun in bihar	The three-day International Buddhist conference has been jointly inaugurated by respected religious leader Dalai Lama and the Union Minister for Tourism and Culture, Mahesh Sharma at Nava Nalanda Mahavihara, Rajgir (Bihar).
6	Yogi Adityanath declared new Chief Minister of U.P.	Yogi Adityanath has been named as the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister designate at a meeting of newly-elected MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 312 in total, in Lucknow.
7	Trivendra Rawat sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand	Former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak and MLA of Doiwala ‘Trivendra Singh Rawat’ (57-year)sworn in as a new Uttarakhand Chief Minister (9th) in the state capital Dehradun.
8	Essar group is the India’s first private sector township to go cashless	The Essar group’s township at Hazira in Surat district of Gujarat has become India’s first private sector township to go cashless. The residents of Essar township have been provided with The Mobile Wallet (TMW) that has seen more than 12,000 app downloads since the launch recently.
9	Sanjauli police post becomes first in India to be linked with CCTNS	Sanjauli police station of Sanjauli the main suburb of the city of Shimla, Himachal Pradesh has become the first police post in the country to be linked with Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), a nationwide online tracking system.
10	India and Brazil initiated Social Security Agreement	This SSA is an outcome of the meetings of BRICS Labour & Employment Ministers held on 9 June 2016 in Geneva and on 27-28 September 2016 in New Delhi.
