1. India’s first conceptualized, designed and manufactured articulated industrial robot ‘BRABO’ introduced by TAL.

It has been developed indigenously for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) in India. The robot is primarily developed to complement the human workforce and repeatedly perform high volume, dangerous and time-consuming tasks ranging from handling of raw materials to packaging of finished products.

2. India ranked 8th on Global FDI Confidence Index.

The Index is an annual analysis of how political, economic, and regulatory changes will likely affect FDI inflows into countries in the coming years. USA has topped A.T. Kearney Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Confidence Index for the fifth year in a row.

3. Uber has launched a new offering for the enterprise segment Uber Central.

Uber Central is the company's first global one-to-many ride product which allows firms — from large corporations to small businesses — to manage multiple rides all at the same time and from the same dashboard without the customers needing the Uber app.

4. SEBI launched revamped website with user-friendly features.

The website also allows visitors to share web pages on their social media network. The new website is compliant with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines for making web content more accessible to differently abled people and also conforms to the guidelines for Indian government websites.

5. UP government changed the names of Gorakhpur , Agra Airports & differently abled department.

The Gorakhpur Airforce Station has been renamed as Mahayogi Goraknath Airport after the founder of the Nath monastic movement. Likewise, the Agra Airport will be renamed after Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay airport. The Department of Disabled Welfare will now be known as 'Divyang Jan Vikas Empowerment'.

6. ICICI Bank data centre becomes the country's first Platinum rated project under Indian Green Building Council.

Prem C Jain, Chairman, IGBC presented IGBC plaque to Chanda Kochhar, MD & CEO, ICICI Bank at a programme organized on recently in Hyderabad. IGBC Green Data Centre Rating System would facilitate in providing tremendous tangible and intangible benefits

7. Verizon, Corning agree to optical fiber for $1.05 billion.

Corning will sell up to 12.4 million miles of optical fiber to Verizon each year from 2018 through 2020, with a minimum purchase commitment of $1.05 billion, according to the agreement. Shares of both companies closed up roughly 1 percent .

8. RBI opened the Office of the Banking Ombudsman at J&K and Chhattisgarh.

Earlier, the banking services related complaints from entire Jammu & Kashmir used to fall under the jurisdiction of New Delhi-I banking ombudsman office and Chhattisgarh in Now, the banking ombudsman offices have now increased to 20 across the country.

9. West Bengal Government has introduced the ‘Social Security Yojana’ by converging five separate beneficiary schemes.

It is for workers in the unorganized sectors and for self-employed people. Around 5 crore people will benefit from the Yojana, with around 1 crore getting direct benefits.

10. Delhi tops in Internet readiness index among indian states.

Internet readiness index is a composite benchmark of four components, ie, e-Infrastructure index, e-Participation index, IT-Environment and government e-services index.
