1. Sagar Baheti has become the first visually impaired Indian runner to complete the historic Boston Marathon.

2. UN Chinese Language Day observed on 20th April.

The day was chosen as the date for the Chinese language to pay tribute to Cang Jie, a mythical figure who is presumed to have invented Chinese characters about 5,000 years ago.

5. ‘Mahatma Gandhi’ stamps sold for the highest ever price for Indian stamps.

It has been sold for record 5 lakh pounds at an auction in the United Kingdom (UK). Only 13 of the 1948 Gandhi 10 Purple Brown and Lake 'Service' stamps are in circulation.

6. Myntra acquires Bengaluru-based ‘InLogg’ .

InLogg' is a city-based technology platform that provides end-to-end logistics solutions for the e-commerce sector. Now, Myntra will be able to strengthen its logistic capability with an expanded reach and improved customer experience.

7. Vinay Shah appointed as new MD & CEO of LIC Housing Finance .

He has replaced 'Smt. Sunita Sharma' after Government had elevated her to Managing Director (MD) of LIC. Earlier, Sah was Executive Director–Marketing/Product Development with LIC of India.

8. RBI signed MoU with the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan.

9. The 2017 BRICS Film Festival will be held in Chengdu, China in june.

The first BRICS Film Festival was held in New Delhi, India, in September 2016. Chinese director Xie Fei will be the president of the festival jury.

10. Olympic-medal-winning athlete Germaine Mason died.

t Mason apparently lost control of his motorcycle before dawn on Thursday in St. Andrew Parish south-east of the capital, Kingston. He was 34.
