1.World Autism Awareness Day observed today.

The 2017 theme for the day is "Toward Autonomy and Self-Determination". World Autism Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day, encouraging the Member States of the United Nations to take measures to raise awareness about children with autism throughout the world.

2.RBI Governor Gets Pay Hike, Basic Salary Nearly Triples

The "basic pay of the Governor and Deputy Governors" have been revised retrospectively with effect from January 1, 2016 .With the earlier basic pay of Rs. 90,000, Mr Patel got a DA of Rs. 1,12,500 and 'other payments' of Rs. 7,000 -- totalling to a gross pay of Rs. 2,09,500. The increase in the basic itself would take his gross pay to nearly Rs. 3.70 lakh.

3.Security features of ₹500, ₹2000 notes to be changed periodically.

To check counterfeiting, the government plans to change security features of higher denomination banknotes of ₹2,000 and ₹500 every 3-4 years in accordance with global standards. The move comes in the wake of recovery of a large amount of fake currency notes in the last four months after demonetisation

4.two schemes have been launched by Smriti Zubin Irani to boost common infrastructure and modernise the sector

he scheme, with an outlay of ₹487 crore for three years from 2017-2018, has nine major components, including two new ones. The two new schemes are: Pradhan Mantri Credit Scheme for powerloom weavers and solar energy scheme for powerlooms. Existing powerloom units, new ones, and group enterprises in weaving will now get 20 % of project cost with a ceiling of ₹1 lakh as margin money subsidy and 6% interest subvention, both for working capital and term loan up to ₹10 lakh for a maximum period of five years.

5.Second annual meeting of BRICS New Development Bank held in New Delhi

A new financial order built by the emerging BRICS economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. New Delhi is playing host to Second Annual Meeting of the New Development Bank (NDB) also known colloquially as BRICS bank

6.Four missiles fired from Afghanistan into Pakistan

One of the missiles hit a shop and other landed near a mosque in Shungak area in the remote Parachinar in Kurram Agency. Two other missiles hit a graveyard in Kachkina area.

7.Asia's longest 9.2 km Chenani-Nashri all-weather road tunnel opend by PM .

The road tunnel will reduce the travel time between the two state capitals of Jammu and Srinagar by approximately two hours. The two-lane Chenani-Nashri tunnel is Asia's longest bi-directional highway tunnel, which will cut the distance between Jammu and Srinagar to around 250 km from the current 350 km.

8.SBI's Charges For ATM, Minimum Balance details are announced.

For metro branches, the monthly average balance will be Rs. 5,000 and penalty for non-maintenance of minimum balance will be between Rs. 50 and Rs. 100. And for urban and semi-urban branches, the average balance has been decided at Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 2,000, respectively. In case of rural branches, the minimum balance has been fixed at Rs. 1,000. Breach of monthly average balance will attract a penalty ranging between Rs. 20 and Rs. 50. cash withdrawal from ATMs will also attract a charge of up to Rs. 20 if the number of transactions exceeds three from other bank's ATMs in a month and Rs. 10 for more than five withdrawals from State Bank of India ATMs.lthough, SBI will not levy any charge on withdrawals from its own ATMs if the balance exceeds Rs. 25,000. In case of withdrawal by its customers from ATMs of other banks, there will be no charge if the balance exceeds Rs. 1 lakh.

9.Jepkosgei smashes three world records at Prague Half Marathon

Kenya's Joyciline Jepkosgei has broken the world half marathon record as well as the 10km and 15km marks at the Prague Half Marathon on the way to winning the IAAF Gold Label Road Race in one hour, four minutes and 52 seconds.

10. Sindhu won the India Open badminton title

Olympic silver-medallist P.V. Sindhu defeated Carolina Marin in straight sets 21-19, 21-16 in 47 minutes at the India Open badminton championship in New Delhi on Sunday. With this victory, she avenged her Olympic final defeat over the same opponent.
