1. According to Swachh Survekshan 2017, Indore in Madhya Pradesh is India’s cleanest city.

The 'Swachh Survekshan 2017' survey results were recently announced by Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu. The total 434 cities of India were surveyed. Indore in Madhya Pradesh is India’s cleanest city while Gonda in Uttar Pradesh is the dirtiest, according to the ‘Swachh Survekshan-2017’.

2. Vijayawada Airport in Andhra pradesh becomes International Airport.

This move will improve the connectivity of the state and provide a wider choice of service at competitive cost to air travelers. It will also boost domestic and international tourism and socio-economic development of Andhra Pradesh. The decision has been taken as per the provisions of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act 2014.

3. India’s first “Village of Books” was inaugurated and opened for public reading at Maharashtra’s Bhilar village.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said it is a proud moment as a village which until recently was famous for its strawberries will now be recognised as “Pustakanche Gaon” or “Village of Books” across India. A colourful `Granth Dindi' or procession of books was also taken out this morning before the inauguration ceremony.

4. India to get world's highest railway bridge across Chenab river in J&K.

It is expected to be 35 metres taller than Paris’ Eiffel Tower. The massive arch-shaped structure, being constructed at a cost of around Rs. 1,100 crores, will rise 359 m above the river bed. Designed to withstand wind speeds of up to 260 km per hour, the 1.315-km- long “engineering marvel” will connect Bakkal (Katra) and Kauri (Srinagar).

5. The first small weapon manufacturing unit of the country in private sector has inaugrated in Madhya pradesh.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister ‘Shivraj Singh Chouhan’ has inaugurated the world level weapon production unit “Punj Lyod Defence System” at Bhind district in the state.

6. Shabana Azmi starrer 'The Black Prince' awarded at film fest in Houston.

The Hollywood film ‘The black prince’ starring Singer-poet ‘Satinder Sartaaj’ and actress ‘Shabana Azmi’ have been awarded the Special Jury Remi Award at the 50th annual Worldfest-Houston International Film Festival (WHIFF).

7. Gadkari inaugurates The Highway Saga, SRISHTI exhibitions.

The union Minister of Road Transport ‘Mr. Nitin Gadkari’ has inaugurated the two exhibitions (the Highway Saga Past Present and Future and Safe Road and Inter-State Highways Transforming India) at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi The Highway Saga exhibition will depict the evolution of road transport in India.

8. ADB predicts 7.4 percent growth for Indian economy this fiscal.

According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB), Indian economy will grow 7.4% this fiscal, and 7.6% in the next fiscal. India had grown 7.1% in the previous fiscal. The Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the new bankruptcy law will make it easier to do business in India.

9. Justice Karnan refuses to undergo medical test.

C.S. Karnan is the Calcutta High Court Judge .On Tuesday, Justice Karnan issued non-bailable warrants against the seven judges. “The Registrar General, High Court at Calcutta, is directed to issue the non-bailable warrants to the above named accused, to be executed through the Director General of Police or Commissioner of Police of New Delhi.

10. India enters FIFA's top 100 after 21 years.

This is India’s best ever FIFA ranking since April 1996, when they were also ranked 100. India’s highest FIFA Ranking till date has been 94, achieved in February 1996. India, meanwhile, retained 11th spot in Asian Football Confederation.
