1. Indian Railways' 1st HR Round Table Conference has inaugrated in New Delhi by Suresh prabhu.

he Conference was organized around three themes i.e. (A) Stakeholders Expectations from HR ,(B) The Future of Work – HR Role and (C) Creativity Within Constraint.

2. India, Mauritius sign MoU to institutionalize cooperation between Parliaments.

According to an official release, the MoU was signed by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan and Speaker of National Assembly of Mauritius Santi Bai Hanoomanjee in Port Louis. Mrs Mahajan was on a five day visit to Mauritius from 6th of this month with a Parliamentary delegation.The delegation included Sushil Kumar Singh, Dhananjay Bhimrao Mahadik and Neelam Sonker.

3. President of India launches mobile app ‘Selfie with Daughter’ to deal with gender imbalance.

The App is aimed at raising awareness among people about female foeticide and sex selection. The President has urged the people to take selfies with their daughters to make the campaign a huge success. The app is expected to create awareness and help in dealing with the problems arising out of gender imbalance

4. Canara Bank has inked pact with The New India Assurance Company Ltd to sell policies through its branches.

. The pact allows Canara Bank to offer non-life insurance products to its customers across metros and tier II and III cities through the bank’s extensive network of over 6,000 branches. The pact also strengthens distribution network of New India Assurance. Under the agreement, New India Assurance will make offer a bouquet of products such as motor, home, health, travel, fire, marine, and engineering insurance policies through branches of Canara Bank.

5. Indian Overseas Bank has launched retail mart in Thiruvananthapuram.

The exclusive facility that handles retail products has started functioning at the main branch. The Retail Mart has been designed with an aim to complete all the pre-release formalities at the customer’s doorstep and sanction quality retail loans at a competitive rate of interest with a minimum turnaround time.

6. Vikram Limaye appointed as the new MD & CEO of National Stock Exchange.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has approved the appointment of Vikram Limaye as the new managing director and chief executive officer (MD & CEO) of National Stock Exchange. Now, Vikram Limaye has to resign from the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) to oversee the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

7. Aadhaar must for I-T returns, PAN applications from July 1.

The government said that filing income tax returns and applications for permanent account number or PAN cards will, from July 1, mandatorily require Aadhaar cards, or at least the applicant's enrolment number for the unique identity (UID). The order came a day after the Supreme Court upheld the law, Section 139AA of the Income Tax Act, that mandates the possession of Aadhaar cards to file I-T returns, and the linking of the UID with PAN cards. "Those who do not have an Aadhaar will have to apply for one in the next 20 days if returns are to be filed after July 1. Those who wish to file the returns or apply for PAN before the deadline can do without Aadhaar.

8.IOC approves new events for 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The additions include a mixed team event for judo. Table Tennis will also get a mixed doubles competition. The event was featured in the recent world championships in Germany. Three-on-three basketball is an example of the IOC’s focus on youth and urban sports.

9. Jelena Ostapenko become the first unseeded player to win french open women's singles title.

In the women's singles category, unseeded Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia won the title beating third seeded Simona Halep 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. With this win, Ostapenko became the youngest French Open winner since Iva Majoli in 1997.

10. Harrison and Venus win men's doubles title in french open.

In the French Open tennis, the second grand slam of the season, New Zealander Michael Venus along with his American team mate American Ryan Harrison claimed first grand slam title in the men's doubles category. The duo defeated Mexican American pair of Santiago Gonzalez and Donald Young 7-6, 6-7, 6-3. After two fiercely-contested opening sets, Harrison and Venus broke decisively for 5-3 and held serve to prevail on Court.
