1. Dubai will host the 5th Arab Regional Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, ArabCAN.

They will conduct ArabCAN, under the theme "From Legislation to Implementation" from 19th to 22nd November 2017. This was announced by the International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, ISPCAN, and the Arab Society for the Prevention of Violence against Children, ARAB SPCAN. The conference will provide a regional and international platform for more than 400 experts from all over the world to help protect children from abuse and neglect.

2. SBI has tie-up with Tirumala Milk Products for providing loans to dairy farmers.

France-based Groupe Lactalis, which also acquired Indore-based Anik Dairy in 2016, wants to double the number of dairy farmers under its fold to three lakh and ramp up the amount of milk it procures daily to 25 lakh litres by 2020 from 14 lakh litres now.

3.PFRDA has introduced “APY@eNPS" to complete digital enrolment process of Atal Pension Yojana.

This is the latest in the series of various initiatives taken by PFRDA for expansion of outreach of Atal Pension Yojana (APY), to give the additional push to cover the as yet unreached population with greater ease. PFRDA has conducted meetings with Banks and Dept of Post at Kolkata, Bengaluru & Mumbai respectively for the earliest roll out of the facility call.

4. Amelia Earhart was first-ever female to fly across Atlantic.

American pilot Amelia Earhart was the first-ever female to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, as she flew as a passenger from Canada's west coast to Wales, UK, on June 18, 1928. She later became the first-ever female to fly solo across the Atlantic in 1932. Earhart disappeared in 1937 while making an attempt to circumnavigate the globe, triggering several controversies.

5. Amazon has purchased Whole Foods in a $13.7 billion deal to expand its growing reach into groceries..

Amazon.com Inc. will pay $42 per share for Whole Foods Market Inc., including debt. That marks an 18% premium to Whole Foods’ closing price on Thursday. The deal comes a month after Whole Foods announced a board shake-up and cost-cutting plan amid falling sales. The grocery store operator was also under pressure from activist investor Jana Partners.

6. R Madhavan named Best Actor at Filmfare Awards South 2017.

R Madhavan was named the Best Actor (Male) for his performance in the Tamil film 'Irudhi Suttru' at the Filmfare Awards South 2017. Ritika Singh won the Best Actor (Female) award and Sudha K Prasad was named the Best Director for 'Irudhi Suttru'. Meanwhile, AR Rahman was named Best Music Director for the film 'Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada'.

7. 7th Edition of T20 will be in 2020 insted of 2018.

ICC source told PTI that the primary reason for the postponement is there are too many bilateral series happening between member nations. Hence, it is not possible to schedule the tournament in 2018. However, the venue is yet to be decided.

8. Yuvraj Singh has set the record for most appearances by a player in ICC tournament finals.

9. K Srikanth has lifted the Indonesia Open Super Series badminton title.

He has lifted the title by defeating Japanese qualifier Kazumasa Sakai in straight games 21-11, 21-19 in the Men's Singles final at Jakarta today. For World No.22 Srikanth, it is his third Super Series title. He had earlier won the 2014 China Open and 2015 India Open.

10.Pakistan lift their maiden Champions Trophy in Cricket by beating India.

Pakistan defeating defending champions India by a huge margin of 180 runs in the final in London today. Set to score 339 runs for a win, India folded up for 158 in 30.3 overs. Earlier, put in to bat, Pakistan put on board 338 for 4 in the stipulated 50 overs. Opener Fakhar Zaman hit his maiden ODI hundred by making a fine 114. The other notable scorers were:- Azhar Ali 59, Mohammed Hafeez 57 and Babar Azam 46.
