1. World’s fastest elevator to be installed in China.

The world's fastest elevator that can operate at a record breaking speed of 1,260 metres per minute is set to been installed in a skyscraper complex building in China. It was Developed by Japanese company Hitachi, the elevator will run at the speed of 1,200 metres per minute, when it is in service. The elevator has various safety features including brake equipment using materials with outstanding heat resistance.

2. Aadhaar Mandatory for Kerosene Subsidy and Atal Pension Yojana scheme.

Those availing kerosene subsidy or contributing for the pension scheme will now be required to furnish proof of possession of Aadhaar number and undergo the enrollment process through it to get the benefits. The last date to enrollment through Aadhaar number for getting subsidy on purchase of kerosene will be 30th of September. Similarly, for the Atal Pension Yojana, the deadline for getting enrolled through the number is 15th of this month.

3. Mumbai Metro One ties up with Google Maps.

Reliance Infrastructure-promoted Mumbai Metro One Private Limited (MMOPL) has partnered with Google to display its services in Google Maps application. To bring convenience for the commuters, MMOPL has collaborated with Google Maps to publish authentic timetable information and associated geographic information of the Metro One stations in the app.

The Haryana government has set up district-level medical boards to decide complaints of medical negligence against private or government doctors or hospitals.The District Medical Boards for Negligence would consist of a district civil surgeon as chairperson and have a principal medical officer or medical superintendent of a district hospital as a member secretaryIn case, a subject specialist is not available, the chairperson can call one from other district and one member of the district Indian Medical Association who would be selected by the district IMA president

8. All the States agree to GST rollout from July 1.

The GST (Goods and Services Tax) Council has cleared the pending rules, including transition provisions and returns, with all the States agreeing to the July 01st 2017 rollout of the tax. Transition rules have been cleared and everybody has agreed for a July 1 rollout,” according to Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Isaac. The GST Council last month fitted over 1,200 goods and 500 services in the tax brackets of 5, 12, 18 and 28 per cent. Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has chaired the 15th meeting of the GST Council, which is scheduled to decide on the tax rate of six items, including gold, textiles and footwear.

In the final in Bangkok today, third seeded Praneeth defeated Indonesia's Jonatan Christie in three games, 17-21, 21-18, 21-19. This is the first Grand Prix Gold title for Sai Praneeth. Both the players facing each other for the first time.
