1. Raipur’s Swami Vivekananda Airport has ranked first in Customer Satisfaction among 53 non-metro airports in india.

Raipur Airport achieved 4.84 score on a five point scale index in the latest CSI (Customer Service Index) survey conducted by an independent agency for the period of January-June 2017, followed by Udaipur, Amritsar and Dehradun airports which have scored 4.75, 4.74 and 4.73 respectively. Customer Satisfaction is one of the key performance objectives of AAI which is evaluated through Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by an independent agency commissioned by the Airport Authority of India (AAI).

2. World Youth Skills Day 2017 observed globally on 15th July.

The day is observed to create more awareness about training and skills development for today's youth, in hopes of creating a better opportunity for them when it comes to employment.The theme of 2017 is "Skills for the Future of Work".

3. Mukesh Kumar Jain has appointed MD & CEO of Oriental Bank of commerce.

The Centre has appointed Mukesh Kumar Jain as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Oriental Bank of Commerce, a public sector bank. His appointment is for a period of three years. Prior to this appointment, Jain was an Executive Director at Punjab & Sind Bank

4. Indian Railways has launched 'Rail SAARTHI' App to cater to various passenger requirements on ticket booking.

ndian Railways launched an integrated mobile application to cater to various passenger requirements including ticket booking, inquiry, on-board cleaning and ordering meal on a single platform. The app is called Rail SAARTHI and was launched by Railway Minister. The Rail SAARTHI (synergised advanced application rail travel help and information) such as safety for women, complaint facility and suggestion for improvement.

5. Pranab Mukherjee has received first copy of "President’s Lady” authord by Sangeeta Ghosh .

“President’s Lady” (Pranaber Preyosi) on president's wife Late Smt. Suvra Mukherjee. Late Smt. Suvra Mukherjee was essentially a private person with a strong interest in music (particularlyTagore music) and paintings.

6. Union Government and Uttar Pradesh sign MoU for opening AIIMS in Gorakhpur.

It will help to those living in eastern Uttar Pradesh to get health care services. The hospital will have 750 free beds and the project is set to cost Rs 1,750 crore

7. Free gas connections provided to BPL households under PMUY crosses 2.5 cr mark.

The free gas connections provided to BPL households under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana crossed the two-and-a-half crore mark today. This number was reached after President Pranab Mukherjee handed over a cooking gas connection to a beneficiary at his residence, Jangipur House in West Bengal. This meets half the target of distributing five crore free LPG connections to women from poor households.

8. SBI has reduced NEFT, RTGS charges by up to 75 percent.

After lowering the Immediate Payment Service (IMPS) charges, the State Bank of IndiaBSE 1.04 % (SBI) on Thursday reduced charges for National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) transactions upto 75 per cent effective July 15. The reduced charges will be applicable on the transactions done through internet banking and mobile banking services offered by the bank

9. Russia launches 73 satellites in one go, second most ever.

Russian space agency Roscosmos has successfully launched 'Kanopus-V-IK' Earth-imaging satellite and 72 microsatellites into orbit on a single rocket. This comes after ISRO launched a world record 104 satellites at once earlier this year, breaking Russia's previous record of 37 satellites. The microsatellites include 62 CubeSats developed by US and others made by Japan, Germany, and Canada.

10. India’s Sundar Singh Gurjar wins gold medal at World Para Athletics.

India’s Sundar Singh Gurjar claimed gold medal in men’s javelin throw event at the World Para Athletic Championships taking place in London on the opening night of the tournament itself. He attempted his personal best, an effort of 60.36m in the men’s javelin throw F46, which was enough for him to take the top spot and open India’s medal tally.
