| 1.UG has launched a GST training programme to skill around 2 lakh youths in 6 months under PMKVY. The new training course would cater to the need of GST trained professionals to help businesses in areas such as registration and calculation of tax liability under the new tax regime. The people would be trained under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). | 3. Former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Nar Bahadur Bhandari passes away. The former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Nar Bahadur Bhandari, 76 has passed away in New Delhi today. The three times Chief Ministers of state breathed his last in a hospital. Mr. Bhandari who was the founder leader of Sikkim Sangram Parishad had governed Sikkim from 1979 to 1994. The Chief Minister, Pawan Chamling described Mr. Nar Bahadur Bhandari a worthy son of soil and in his condolence message said the state and the people of Sikkm have lost a great leader . |

Sandhu, who had reached the final without dropping a game, ran into an opponent, who was ready for a long battle. |
| 8. Roger Federer won a record 8th Wimbledon title and became the tournament's oldest champion. Federer claimed his 19th Grand Slam title beating Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4. The 36-year old Federer is also Wimbledon's oldest men's winner of the modern era, succeeding Arthur Ashe, who was almost 32 when he won in 1976. This was Swiss superstar's 11th Wimbledon final and 29th title at the majors. |
