1. Shantanu Narayen and Vivek Murthy to be honoured with Great Immigrants award . Two Indian-Americans, Adobe Chief Shantanu Narayen and former US Surgeon General Vivek Murthy are among 38 immigrants to be honoured this year for their role in helping advance the country's society, culture and economy. Narayen and Murthy will be honoured with the prestigious 'Great Immigrants' annual award on US's Independence day on Tuesday. Murthy, born in the UK and a Harvard and Yale alumnus, was appointed by former President Barack Obama in 2014, becoming the first-ever Indian-American to occupy the post and also the youngest ever surgeon general of the country. However, Murthy was dismissed this year in April by the Trump administration. |

3. BHEL signs pact with Japanese firm for manufacturing coaches for metro trains. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd has entered into a technology collaboration agreement with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd (KHI) of Japan for manufacturing of stainless steel coaches and bogies for metros. The agreement covers establishing design, engineering and manufacturing facilities at BHEL using Japanese technology. |

5. RBI report estimates India's economic growth rate at 7.3% in 2017-18 The Reserve Bank on Friday said the ongoing accelerated reform initiatives like Goods and Sevice Tax and continuing political stability will push the economic growth scale to 7.3 per cent in terms of Gross Value Added -GVA in the current fiscal year. The Financial Stability Report 2017, released on Friday, going forward, reforms in FDI and real estate sector, implementation of GST, and revival in external demand are likely to contribute to a better growth outlook. According to the RBI report, GVA growth is expected to be higher at 7.3 per cent in 2017-18. |
6. India's tallest ATC tower at Delhi Airport will start in december. India's tallest Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower at the Delhi Airport is likely to start operations by December, Airports Authority of India Chairman Guruprasad Mohapatra said. The new 101.9-metre tower, which will give controllers a 360-degree view of the airport, is the seventh tallest ATC tower in the world. It has been built at a cost of ₹350 crore. |

Search giant Google has been named the most attractive employer for business students across the world in 2017 by Universum Global, a global talent career expectations research firm. Goldman Sachs and Apple were ranked the second and third most attractive employers respectively. Ernst & Young, PwC, Deloitte, and Microsoft were ranked among the top 10 employers. |
8. Forex reserves at new life-time high of USD 382.53 billion. India's Forex Reserves surged by 576.4 million US Dollar to touch a new lifetime high of 382.53 billion US Dollar in the week to June 23 this year. According to Reserve Bank of India FCAs, a major component of overall reserves rose by 580.2 million US Dollar to 358.664 billion US Dollar. |
9. Jio has launched world's longest 100Gbps underwater cable system. Jio announced the launch of the 25,000-kilometre Asia-Africa-Europe (AAE-1) submarine cable system. Jio claimed it is the longest technology-based 100 Gbps (gigabits per second) submarine cable system in the world, stretching from France to Hong Kong with 21 cable landings across Asia and Europe. The project is the combined work of leading service providers from various countries. |
10. Dubai police will deploy Self-driving bots to detect wanted criminals on dubai roads. Dubai police have announced that they will deploy a fleet of self-driving bots that will scan people and identify wanted criminals on the streets through biometric software. The bots will have HD cameras, laser scanners, and GPS along with ability to scan license plates. They also come with drones to follow individuals to places where the bots cannot reach. |
