1. Shikha Sharma has appointed as MD & CEO of Axis Bank.

Axis Bank has re-appointed Shikha Sharma as MD & CEO of Axis Bank for the three-year term from June 2018. Her current term was to end in June 2018. Axis Bank informed Bombay Stock Exchange that board of directors has approved the re-appointment.

2. Amazon's Jeff Bezos has overtaken Gates to become world’s richest individual.

Forbes world’s billionaires' list was announced on Friday with oil to telecom business owner, Mukesh Ambani still the richest Indian on the list.Top 10 Richest Indians are: Mukesh Ambani, Dilip Shanghvi, Hinduja family, Azim Premji , Pallonji Mistry , Lakshmi Mittal, Godrej family, Shiv Nadar, Kumar Birla, Cyrus Poonawalla

3. Mumbai Metro to Launch India’s First Mobile Ticketing System 'OnGo'.

This system will help commuters pass the AFC (automated fare collection) gates using their mobile phones The commuters will be able to buy tickets or monthly passes using the Mumbai Metro app on their smartphone. Once they make the payment using their mobile wallet or e-wallet, a QR code will be generated.

4. PNB and Bajaj Allianz have signed an agreement for the distribution of insurance products.

State-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance have signed an agreement for the distribution of insurance products through the branches. Under this agreement, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance will offer personal lines of insurance products such as health, personal accident, home, motor and travel along with commercial line of insurance products such as property, marine and engineering insurance, etc to the bank's customers

5. Andhra pradesh government has appointed P.V. Sindhu as Deputy Collector.

Olympics badminton silver medallist P.V. Sindhu was on Thursday appointed a Deputy Collector by the Andhra Pradesh government. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu handed over the appointment letter to her at the state secretariat in the presence of her parents. The state government has asked Sindhu to join duty as deputy collector within 30 days. In May, the state legislature had passed a Bill amending the State Public Services Act to appoint Sindhu as a Group-I officer in the government.

6.BSE has inked a pact with Egyptian Exchange (EGX) for cooperation in exchange of information.

Leading bourse BSE joined hands with Egyptian Exchange (EGX) for cooperation in exchange of information across business areas. Through this MoU a range of opportunities has been explored for the development of their businesses, products and markets to share knowledge and strengthen international connectivity.

7. RBI to soon issue 20 rupee bank notes in Mahatma Gandhi Series with the inset letter S .

Reserve Bank of India will shortly issue 20 rupee bank notes in the Mahatma Gandhi Series, with the inset letter S in both the number panels. In an official release RBI said, design of these banknotes is similar in all respects to the 20 rupees bank notes in the same series issued earlier.

8. RuPay ATM-cum-debit card holders are eligible for accidental death and permanent disability insurance cover of upto 2 lakh rupees.

In a written reply in Lok Sabha on Friday, Minister of State for Finance Santosh Kumar Gangwar said, RuPay Classic cardholders are eligible for cover of 1 lakh rupees, whereas RuPay Premium cardholders are eligible for cover of 2 lakh rupees. Insurance premium is paid by the National Payments Corporation of India. 872 cardholders received insurance claims during last financial year.

9. Kolkata is worst performing city in critical issue of child sex ratio.

Women and Child Development minister Maneka Gandhi today said Kolkata is the worst performing city in the critical issue of child sex ratio. Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, she said, 9 districts of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand have also been identified as worst performers in child sex ratio. She said, government has conducted special drive under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao schme in 100 districts in 2014 to improve child sex ratio. She said out of 100 districts, 58 have given good results.

10. Indonesia will be hosted the AFC Under-19 championship 2018.

The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Competition Committee officially awarded Indonesia the hosting of the AFC Under-19 championship 2018. The AFC U-19 championship is scheduled to be held from October 18 to November 4 of 2018.
