1. Union Government is committed to make the nation free from Tuberculosis by 2025.

Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Mr. Faggan Singh Kulaste has said that the Union Government is committed to make the nation free from Tuberculosis by the year 2025 as per the directives of the Prime Minister, well ahead of the target year 2030 fixed by the World Health Organization.Union Government is committed to make the nation free from Tuberculosis by 2025.

2. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has elected as interim prime minister of Pakistan.

Pakistan media said, the decision was taken during the party's consultative meeting today. Mr Abbasi will run the government as interim prime minister until Nawaz Sharif's brother Shahbaz is elected as member of parliament.

3. International Tiger Day is observed globally on 29th July .

International Tiger Day which is celebrated to raise awareness for tiger conservation. 29th July was decided to be celebrated as Tiger day during the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit in 2010. Special programmes are being organized all over the globe today to mark the day. Union Minister for Environment and Forests Dr Harsh Vardhan will attend a Global Tiger Day event in New Delhi.

4. India's Foreign Exchange Reserves touch record high of USD 391.33 billion.

According to Reserve Bank of India data, the Country’s Foreign Exchange Reserves touched a new record high of USD 391 point 33 billion aided by the increase in foreign Currency Assets (FCAs). Gold reserves remained unchanged at USD 20.35 billion. The special drawing rights with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) went up by USD 12.1 million to USD 1.491 billion.

5. Iran successfully launched its most advanced satellite-carrying rocket named ‘Simorgh’

The launch took place at the Imam Khomeini National Space Station in Semnan. The development marks a significant step forward for the Islamic Republic's young space program. It also raises alarm among the nation’s adversaries who fear that the same technology could be used to produce long-range missiles

6.Punjab launches flagship ‘care companion programme’ scheme.

The Punjab health minister Brahm Mohindra launched a flagship care companion health scheme. The main aim is to improve patient outcomes through better family engagement and education. The state department of health and family welfare signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Noora Health India Trust, a healthcare-profit organisation, for implementation of the ‘Care Companion Programme’ (CCP).

7. NPCI receives final nod from RBI to function as Bharat Bill Payment Central Unit.

The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has received final approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to function as the Bharat Bill Payment Central Unit (BBPCU) and operate Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS).The total number of Bharat Bill Payment Operating Units certified by NPCI now stands at twenty-four.

8.RBI has set up Supervisory Colleges for six Scheduled Commercial Banks.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has set up Supervisory Colleges for six Scheduled Commercial Banks which have a sizeable international presence: - State Bank of India, ICICI Bank Ltd., Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Axis Bank Ltd. and Punjab National Bank. The main objectives of the colleges to enhance information exchange and cooperation among supervisors, to improve understanding of the risk profile of the banking group and thereby facilitate more effective supervision of internationally active banks.

9. Union Government has launched Sagar Vani to alert Coastal Community.

Union Science and Technology and Earth Sciences Minister Harsh Vardhan launched ‘Sagar Vani’ system to communicate and help the coastal community, especially fishermen, with advisories and warnings related to the safety at sea. The ‘Sagar Vani’ is a software platform where various dissemination modes will be integrated on a single central server.

10.India is the world's third-biggest beef exporter.

India is the world's third-biggest exporter of beef and is projected to hold on to that position over the next decade, according to a report by the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation (OECD). OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook 2017-2026 report released here this week, said that India exported 1.56 million tonnes of beef last year and was expected to maintain "its position as the third-largest beef exporter, accounting for 16 per cent of ..
