1. Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence(Panchsheel Pact ) between India and China.

Both the nations are engaged in a diplomatic standoff in the Doklam or Donglang area near the Sikkim-Tibet-Bhutan tri-junction from the last 20 days after a Chinese army's construction party came to build a road in that region. India blamed China's aggressive road building for the crisis, Indian side thinks that the construction of the road in Donglang will going to affect the status quo of the country. Other way round, China is criticising India for misleading the public by alleging that a road being constructed near the Sikkim border could endanger Delhi's access to the region.

2. Ahmedabad city has declared as india's first World Heritage City by UNESCO.

The 600 year old Walled City of Ahmedabad has been declared as India’s first World Heritage City. Delhi and Mumbai were also among the race.Ahmedabad’s nomination received huge support from 20 countries for the peaceful co-existence of Hindu, Islamic, Jain communities in Walled City area.

3. India and Bangladesh have decided to construct a bridge over Khawthlangtuipui river.

Khawthlangtuipui river also known as Karnaphuli river.To facilitate trade and to improve communication between the two countries, India and Bangladesh have decided to construct a bridge over Mizoram’s Khawthlangtuipui river .

4. First edition of WINGS 2017 hosted in New Delhi.

First edition of WINGS 2017 – “Sab Uden, Sab Juden”- Expanding Regional Connectivity hosted in New Delhi by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The event saw participation from 28 States and Union Territories and out of this 19 states and Union Territory made presentation emphasizing the incentives or special packages to the airlines other than the support offered by Government of India under RCS- UDAN.

5. The global food fair ' World Food India 2017 ' will be held in New Delhi.

It will be organised by the Union Food Processing ministry in New Delhi on November 3-5, 2017 to boost food sector. For the global food fair, the Union ministry of Food Processing has organised a roadshow in Chandigarh to provide a platform to Indian farmers and manufacturers to showcase their products and explore partnerships with foreign companies.

6. Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance ties up with Dhanlaxmi Bank for marketing bancassurance.

As part of the agreement, the Bank will be a corporate agent for 3 years. All the life insurance products of Canara HSBC Oriental Bank of Commerce Life Insurance would be made available to customers of Dhanlaxmi Bank and would be sold by the licensed staff of the bank.

7. The Delhi government has launched a Free Surgery Scheme.

Under this scheme if patients do not get a date for surgery at a government hospital within a month, they can get themselves treated in the private ones free of cost. Such cases will be taken care of at 48 NABH-accredited private hospitals in Delhi-NCR. These include Moolchand Hospital, Rockland Hospital and Batra Hospital. Lok Nayak Hospital, Ambedkar Hospital and GB Pant are among the 24 hospitals from where patients can be referred to private medical facilities. The facility is available for 52 types of specified surgeries including heart by-pass, kidney stone surgery and laparoscopic gall bladder surgery.

8. President Pranab Mukherjee has launched 3 digital initiatives over e-education.

President Pranab Mukherjee has launched digital initiatives - Swayam, Swayam Prabha and National Academic Depository - in New Delhi to push e-education in the country. The aim of the initiatives is to raise the Gross Enrollment Ratio in the higher education from 24.5 to 30 by 2020.

9. Mohammad Anas and Nirmala Sheoran have won the gold medal in the men’s and women’s 400 metres athletics event in AAC 2017 .

In the 1500 m race, it was Chitra PU and Ajay Kumar Saroj who bagged the other two gold medals for India. The other medal winners included Rajiv Arokia (silver), Jisna Mathew (bronze), Tejinder Pal Singh Toor (silver) and Dutee Chand (bronze).

10. India tops medal tally for first time in Asian Athletics Championships history.

In a stunning show of dominance on the fourth and final day of competitions in Bhubaneshwar yesterday, India clinched five gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze. With that, the hosts ended the championships on top with a haul of 29 medals which included 12 gold, 5 silver and 12 bronze.
Heptathlete Swapna Barman gave India the first gold of the day as she collected a total of 5942 points from the seven events. Japan's Meg Hemphill was second, while another Indian Purnima Hembram was third in the event. Lakhsmanan Govindan grabbed his second gold of the championships by winning the men's 10,000 metre event in 29 minute and 55.87 seconds. His Indian compatriot Gopi Thonkanal won the silver winner. Lakhsmanan had already won a gold in the 5000 metre race on the opening day. World junior record holder javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra clinched the gold with a final throw of 85.23 metres. Devinder Singh Kang came third in the event. India fittingly wrapped up the championships by winning gold in the men's and women's 4x400 metre relay races to send the packed crowd to wild celebrations.
